You know what OPE is right?
Anyway, do you remember that person that sat near you at the last program? You don't know him well, but one thing you know for sure: man, he had a big ego!
He had to correct your way of making a bandhan! Can you believe it? After 15 years of dedicated, continuous years of meditation. After so many books read, hundreds of puja attended, thousands of talked listened! He had to tell you that the number of nodes to tie for raising the kundalini are 1-1-3 and not 1-2-3 as you were doing. What a big ego!

Why we cannot be great yogis... (last part)
(previous posts)
There are many other obstacles in the path of being a grand yogi.
For example, you don’t have a job so you need to look for one. So no time for meditation, footsoak and other alike.
You have a job, but not a great one so your mind is towards finding a better one. Who can really meditate with such a busy mind.
You have a great job, but it takes so much of your time and effort.
You don’t have a car so you need to depend on others for rides.
You have a car, but man, do you know how long it takes to maintain it?
And if it is new and it doesn’t, then you cannot really take it everywhere because it is so new and it might get scratched.
So see, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, yogis and yoginis, brothers and sisters, uncles and unties, we can never, ever be a really great yogi.
And in no way for any fault of ours.
Unless of course I am wrong...
But I am usually right. Just like the great yogis are.

Another obstacles come from being or not being married.
Let’s assume you are a guy and you are not married yet, so one would say that you have all the time in the world. Well that is so far from the truth.
You don’t have a wife but you have tens of friends and you know how long time it takes even only to talk to them. And you also need to meet them, join the parties, visit them on birthdays, so on and so forth.
That takes 110% of your time and who has time to become a good yogi.
After some time, you need to get married so your mind is focused if not obsessed with that so you cannot really dedicate lots of time meditating.
“I can do that after I get married”, you say to yourself.
“Being married is very important for your inner balance, isn’t it?”
True, you will be a greater yogi in the instant you say "I do".
Then you get married. And you have time to become a good yogi?
You are kidding me right, you now have chores like you never had in your life. Funny how both wife and husband have twice more chores after marriage.
And if the kids come, time is even less. You are happy to have time to sleep. When to worry about being a great yogi. Who cares anyway, zzzz...

Why we cannot be great yogis... (part 7)

There are so many reasons we cannot be great yogis.
One of them is that some of us (I hope not many) already think they are great yogis.
But let me tell you a secret, but just keep it for yourself.
Here it is: great yogis, I mean those really, really great yogis, don’t know they are great yogis.
So if you want to be a great yogi, that is awesome...
But if you think you are already a great yogi, think again...
For example, I never think I am a great yogi.
But this guy is:

Money is also a problem.
Let’s say you are short of money, like most people are. You don’t have enough money so you cannot attend all the sahaj events. So your evolution is affected. You still improve but slowly, slowly and that cannot make you a great yogi.
Think of all those people saying money doesn’t matter. Well, it does. Imagine if you could go to all the international pujas this year and every year after.
Now you might have lots of money, you know as those 1% people have. You know the 1% I am talking about right?
You have lots of money so you need to spend so much time managing it. So, again, you cannot attend all the sahaj events. Also you don’t have them in cash but invested so you don’t really own them. Also you cannot take them out. If you do you would lose all the interest and appreciation and who wants to do that? Man, it takes so long to take care of the money.

Why we cannot be great yogis... (part 5)
Another reason you cannot be a great yogi is that to become one one needs to give realization to many, many, so many people.
And for many, many, so many reasons you cannot do that.
First you are very shy so you cannot really speak to people.
Then, you are not even sure if it will be of any help as if you give them realization. They don’t come back anyway, so why bother.
Also what difference would it make, one or two more realized people. There are 7 billion people on earth. Few more realized would not make any difference.

Why we cannot be great yogis... (part 4)
(previous posts)
Another reason one cannot be a super great yogi is that the environment is totally against you even since you were born.
Your parents were not yogis so their vibrations positively influenced you in a negative way.
Your school buddies were not the most pure ones.
Then high school and university. If you but knew...
Even now, when you are a yogi, all goes against your spiritual evolution: the work place, the city with the bad publicity, the TV shows that do not have good vibes but are fun to watch and all the books you read that do not have the good influence over your chakras.
All, but I mean, all, keep you from becoming a great yogi. And for no fault of yours in any way.

Why we cannot be great yogis ... (part 3)
(read previous posts)
Sometime we do dumb stuff. We do. But trust me "Mother you do everything, I do nothing" does not apply for those.
We do some very, very, very bad stuff sometime that cannot be the doings of great yogis. You know, sometime we skip foot soak. Yes, we do. Especially when we visit some friends and spend the night there. Yes, my friends that is true.
And you would not believe it. Sometimes we have short meditation. Only 30 minutes that is. When we are tired on in a hurry, we have short meditation. Or even worse. This you will not believe it: sometimes, yogis, skip a meditation. Yes, believe it or not, it happens.

One more reason we cannot and we’ll never be a great yogi is that we don’t believe we can be one.
"What, who me? No way. I, who read those three bootish books when I was young? No way.
And I, who stole cherries from neighbours when I was ten or so. Cannot be.
I, who has such a left vishuddhi? I feel so guilty even when I think what vishuddhi I have... No way."
And trust me you cannot reach the top the mountain if you don’t believe you can reach the top of the mountain.
As simple as that.

Why we cannot be great yogis...
I am here today, to explain why we cannot be great yogis.
Yogis yes, good yogis, maybe, but great yogis, never.
Don’t get me wrong. There is no reason to feel bad. Not being able to be great yogis is in no way any of our fault. No, no way.
One reason is that we are so busy, that we don’t have time to become great yogis.
We wake up in the morning and say: "5 more minutes..."
After those five minutes, what do we say? "Just five more minutes..." and again and again.
Then what do we say? "Oh my God, I have 3 minutes to leave the house..." What about meditation? "Oh, well, a bandhan will do for now and I promise I’ll have footsoak, candle treatment and long meditation tonight to make up for sleeping in."
Then night comes and when tired you crash on the couch you remember the morning promise, but you say: "Just one show and after that I’ll footsoak and candle and meditate double time.."
The show comes and goes, but another even more interesting one is ready to start... So you say: "well one more show did not kill anybody and after that I’ll footsoak and meditate"
One more show goes and yet another one starts so you find the perfect solution: "footsoak during the show and meditation after..."
Of course, by the end of all the shows it is way too late and somebody told you that meditating late night is not good (even harmful some say) so you crash into the bed with the strong promise that you will wake up earlier in the morning to meditate longer as morning meditations are the best...
